The campground is open year around! (Electric is always available, however, water is turned off during winter months–typically November through the beginning of April–depending on weather conditions)
There is absolutely no hunting allowed anywhere on the marina property. No firearms or hunting gear is allowed on the property for any reason.
During winter hours, the gate closes daily at 5:00 PM. GATE CODES ARE NOT GIVEN OUT TO CAMPERS. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Please be inside the gate prior to closing.
We are pet friendly, however, AGGRESSIVE BREED DOGS (or other pets that qualify) ARE NOT ALLOWED (i.e. includes, but not limited to Pit Bulls, Chows, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Akitas, Huskies, German Shepherds, etc.) If you have a breed not listed and have any thought there’s a chance your pet will harm another person or animal, we kindly ask that you not bring the pet on the premises. Pets that are brought must remain on a physical leash (Electronic leashes are not sufficient) at all times.
Sites are intended for ONE camper OR tent per site for the nightly rate. One additional tent can be added at $10/night paid separately at the store at check-in. However, sites are limited to no more than 6 people per site.
Call 252-492-1426 to reserve your site today! During the winter months, reservations can only be made by phone Thursday-Saturday (9 am-5 pm) and Sunday (10 am-4 pm). Reservations can be made online through campnative.com at any time.

Pines Primitive Sites $25/night
Wilderness Primitive Sites $25/night
Electric Camp Sites:
20 amp $30/night
30 amp is $35/night
50 amp is $45/night

A maximum of 6 people are allowed per campsite.
We do not charge any entrance fees for our campground tenants and visitors. SECURITY CODES ARE NOT PROVIDED TO CAMPERS. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST ONE FOR ANY SPECIAL PURPOSE. (Please be inside the gate prior to its closing) Gate closes at 5 pm during winter hours (October-March). Gate closes at 9 pm April-September.
Sites reserved must be paid in full. There is a one-night fee deducted for cancellations up to 1 week prior to check-in. No refund is granted if a reservation is canceled less than 1 week before check-in. Cancellations can only be made through the store. Please contact us for details or to make a reservation.
Full-service floating store on site for your camping convenience.
Campground tenants have a designated swimming area. (No lifeguard on duty, please swim at your own risk)
The playground area is available for no charge to all campground tenants. Please play at your own risk, there is no attendant on duty. Children must be accompanied by an adult!
Family and most pets (no aggressive breed, etc) are welcome! Pets must be kept on a leash at all times, and pets are not allowed in shower houses!
After 11 pm nightly, the marina observes quiet hours, meaning no golf carts, no loud music, etc. Failure to comply will result in being asked to leave with no refund.
NO 3 or 4-wheelers on our property.
Display the campground label on the vehicle at all times. No more than two vehicles per site.
Golf carts may be driven only by those 18 and over.
No boats, trailers, or vehicles are to be parked in unoccupied campsites.
A copy of Steele Creek Marina’s existing rules and regulations for the campground is available at the marina store.
All areas will be checked by campground staff periodically.
Please clean the campsite at the time of departure.
Discharging gray or wastewater is illegal and will be asked to leave and reported. To properly dispose of waste, please utilize our dump station as below.
Camping Dump Station Info –
Steele Creek Marina has a newly installed dump station for all current campers and current tenants. All current campers in our facilities may use the station for free. A nominal fee will be charged for all others as follows:
$20.00 fee (Pay over the phone at 252-492-1426)
Our dump station is monitored and people using the station without camping or paying the fee will be prosecuted.
Mooring’s Boat Ramp –
Campers may use our boat access ramp during their stay in our campground at no extra charge.
The public may use our boat ramp during our gate hours in Open Season for a $5.00 charge per launch. Use the courtesy box for cash payment or call the store at 252-492-1426 to pay by phone.
The public may purchase an annual boat ramp pass for $50.00 at our marina store. With an annual pass, the public can use our boat access ramp anytime during open-gate hours.
